It would be really nice if there were a fourth color like yellow to be used in the puzzles. It would really open up for some more interesting puzzles, not necessarily more complex than they already are.

A suggestion for robozzle: In the right toolbar, wouldn't it be nice if non-existent colors on the board wasn't there? (only exception for that is there is a 'color tile' instruction in that color. Makes no sense to have all colors there if some of them aren't used (like the function buttons)

Against! I would rather opt for a reduction to 2 colors. There are so many puzzles harder than moderate that are solved by only few people.

I think having a fourth color is a good idea.

It may not necessarily make the puzzles more complicated either. Sometimes there are really cool behaviors that people have been able to program into Robozzle, but because of the color limit they have some interesting "hacks" to make the algorithm still work. While those puzzles can be really fun to play, it might make them more accessible if there was another color to work with.

At the very least, another color wouldn't break any current puzzles.

I both agree and disagree. More complex and diverse puzzles can be a good thing as well as a very bad thing.
It does feel as if we've already begun to exhaust our capabilities with the current programming resources, however. It's true that new (even complex) ideas spring up every so often, but less often than before despite the broader user base.
