Thread for puzzle Mountain Chain. Hints are OK, but please no full solutions.

I broke my brain. I start this pazzle first after tutorial. I cann't understand how to stop him on the lowest point. How cursor can to know?

I know it can be used in different ways in Early Marked Bridges, but I used it this way which I believe also is the cleanest way to solve it.
